A couple of within-the-decoder LNBf settings must be carried out before your decoder can detect satellite signals. In fact, before tracking your favorite satellite channels, there are some basic decoder settings that you must manipulate. Otherwise, you will put yourself in a position whereby you will not detect any signal. This tutorial will do justice to how the within-the-decoder LNBf settings for Ku Band and C Band frequencies are done.
As an installer, your job is not complete if you haven’t scanned for the channels you just received the signal for. In layman’s language, you need to set the specific LNB settings from within your decoder before you can scan the channels.
In most cases, the default is for a Ku Band LNB. Now, what happens when you are scanning C Band channels? D you know your signal quality might not pop up if you have the wrong within-the-decoder LNBf settings?
Within-the-decoder LNBf settings
A C-band LNB is different in design from a Ku-band LNB. Similarly, the within-decoder LNB settings for both the Ku and c bands vary. In addition, 99% of FTA decoders will come with ku band LNB settings by default. Some exceptions are like the Gsky decoder doesn’t have these settings by default. I will teach you what to change and leave unchanged while setting up your LNBf freq on your decoder. The most important parameter here is the “LNB FREQUENCY.”
