Ordinarily, I do not review just any device. Tiger M5 Super is really a super device as the name implies. Tiger star M5 Super satellite receiver has inbuilt IPTV solution(more than 1000 channels available), Auto-Biss channels rolling function, PowerVU(not with sports24 HD) and a very powerful inherent IKS account in the name of forever account. Also, beOut Q transmits only in H.265/HEVC Video format. Sadly, most basic decoders don’t support this.

How Activate TIGER M5 Super in Order to make it Open Encrypted channel

First off, for security reasons I guess, TIGER-star M5 Super receiver is not plug-and-play. If you by it, it will come as a regular FTA decoder. I think the reason behind this move is to escape litigation. You need to put the following in place before you buy the device and when you might have purchased it.

  1. Make sure you are capable of utilising the feature the decoder has to offers. For example, if you are in Nigeria and you want to watch Badr 26e(where you can get beOutq Sports), make sure you have a big dish. You will need a dish of between 3.2 to 3.6 meters to the receiver the signal.
  2. Similarly, if you want to use it for IPTV. You should get ready for a stable and fast internet connection.
  3. Once you have done this, load the latest available software that will enable the receiver to open all the promised packages. To download the latest software, just search for the name of the decoder on google. Alternatively, make sure whoever is selling to you provide you with the software.

What is beOut Q?

According to industry news, beOut Q is a satellite broadcasting company that has its footprints mainly in most Arabia countries and MENA. We can confidently say that the operating base of this group is located in Saudi Arabia. From what I have gathered, they are a sports-only package and their channels are encrypted with biss and other conditional access systems (CAS).

I also realised that sometimes in 2017, beIN Media Group(the owner of bein sports lay claims that beOut is pirating their contents. below is a quote from gulf-time:

“beIN have called for a pirate broadcaster operating as ‘beout Q’ to shut down its unauthorised platforms that are broadcasting beIN Sports’ proprietary media content in Saudi Arabia.
The sports and entertainment network has joined forces with some of the world’s biggest rights holders, including UEFA and LaLiga, as well as an anti-piracy body, the Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA), to call for ‘beout Q’ to cease all of its operations immediately.
beIN Media Group has  notified the Saudi authorities of this unlawful  use of its content and has requested that the Saudi government take immediate action to investigate and prevent the unauthorised use of beIN’s media content by ‘beout Q’ or any other unauthorised channels in Saudi Arabia”

Suffice to say that if the quote above is anything to go by, beOut Q may actually is a broadcast pirate. Anyways, that’s not our focus. Let’s leave that to the legal luminaries.

How to Revive a dead/soft-brick TIGER M5 Super Satellite Decoder

Also important is the likelihood of you bricking your M5 super decoder maybe during the cause of upgrading the software. In such a situation, your decoder will not put fully. To revive your M5 Super decoder(and similar tigerstar decoders), please take the following steps:

  1. Firstly, Download the software for your TIGER M5 Super receiver into a clean USB flash drive. Please make sure it is the only file on the drive
  2. Secondly, rename the software you just downloaded to “flash.bin”(without the quotes). Also, ensure that you rename before copying to the flash drive. Especially important, if you download the file compressed, please extract before renaming
  3. Thirdly, attach the USB to the device and Hwa Matte of electricity
  4. Next power on the decoder and quickly press the Menu button 8 consecutive times and wait for 5 minutes.
  5. The decoder should start loading from the flash.bin file and once done, it will reboot and start up normally.

Where can I buy TIGER M5 Super?

Surprisingly, I searched all the online stores that I know and I couldn’t find this s device. That leaves us with only one option. To lay your hands on the TIGER-star M5 Super receiver, you need to consult your local satellite dealer/installer.

Please don’t contact me as regards the sales of tiger M5 or similar devices. I can only sell devices that don’t circumvent the payment of pay-TV subscriptions out of the box. Oh, you want to say M5 Super doesn’t do anything out of the box? Well If I happen to sell to you, I will be bound to activate it for you which will make me culpable. Therefore, I still maintain my stand. Besides, many of you already own this receiver.

    On StarSat SR-200HD EXTREME 4K, how do you setup the receiver to remember the WiFi connection so that it connects automatically the next time you switch it on? Every time I switch on my SR-200HD 4K receiver I have to go to settings under WiFi to connect it to internet manually. Although the receiver remembers the password, it doesnt connect automatically to WiFi like the old SR-2000HD Extreme did.

    Please do you know the decoder C-SAT c8 Pro or how to revive it because I have one which is death by upgrade, and the TV screen is black and the decoder screen is blocked on “on”.l revive it by your method but it comes on the same problem . I don’t know what to do. Please help me.

    Thanks Mr Lemmy, my tiger m5 super is rolling all powervu except s24, but it refused to autoroll any biss channel. I have used both compatible modem and wifi yet no biss channel opened.
