If there is one person who should see Samsung mobile phones and flee, that person should be me. I have had some bugs that can ever happen to any brand name smartphone with my Samsung phone or my friends. For the record, I have been a Sammy fan from the Galaxy S era. Solve the Galaxy Note 8 32GB storage problem with my simple trick today. Notable amongst this is as S7 Edge Galaxy that I dumped recently. The S7 has a strange microphone problem which I managed to solve after a lot of sleepless nights.
One thing that sets Samsung apart from other brand-name phone manufacturers is its exceptional customer service. Notable among this is the24 months hardware and software warranty they offer worldwide. However, I was disappointed in the case of my S7 Edge because the Samsung office in Nigeria refused to fix it. After all, it was A US phone. I learned my lesson the hard way. Now let us move to the problem at hand without further Ado.
Galaxy Note 8 32GB storage Problem
Let us first define this problem. The Galaxy Note 8 32 GB problem is contextual as it implies a situation whereby 32gb of total storage space is reflected on your phone instead of 64 GB, which is the base memory for all Galaxy Note 8. By extension, you will see a “6.9/6gb available memory left”. It is yet to be known if this is the same irrespective of the space you have consumed.
If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Android phone, you are expected to have 64 GB of total storage, no less. Noteworthy, Samsung didn’t manufacture any Note 8 with 32 GB storage. So, if you see one, it is a bug. You can quickly fix this without rooting your phone or voiding your warranty.

How to fix your 32gb storage bug on Galaxy Note 8. All models
Irrespective of your Samsung Note 8 model number, this will help. The one I have is the N950F European version. However, the bug has been reported on other models, such as the N950FD, 950W, N950, etc.
Step 1
Back up your phone securely to an external drive or cloud. This first step is crucial. You will lose everything on your internal memory after this operation. Fortunately, a Samsung switch on a PC or Mac will come in handy here.
Step 2
After backing up your files/data, the next step is for you to switch off your phone and boot into recovery mode by following the instructions in the pictures below: to boot a galaxy not eight into recovery, press power off your phone, then press “the power button, the volume up key and the Bixby button simultaneously” as shown below.
Step 3
You will see a strange screen once you boot using the above methods. A blues screen displays “installing system update” Shortly after this, you will see another blue screen with the no command message. Don’t panic; hold on for some seconds, and you will be transferred to the Android recovery menu, as shown below. Carefully perform the following one after the other.
- Use your vol up/down keys to navigate through. First off, scroll to “Wipe cache partition,” then press the power button.
- Secondly, scroll down to “wipe data/factory reset” and tap the power button to confirm.
- Finally, scroll up to “Reboot system now,” and you can boot into the standard phone menu.
Congratulations!! You have just recovered your 32 GB of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone. All models. Share this post if it is helpful.
