This will come handy to all satellite installers.  You might even write this on a notepad on your phone and save for reference purposes. It is almost impossible that as a satellite installer you can memorise all Transponders for all satellite tv receivable in your region. Today’s post shall be divided into two parts. The first section shall focus on popular satellite tv receivable in Africa(both free and encrypted) While the second part will be on all free to air satellite tv receivable in Africa and the coverage shall be all 50 African countries. In the course of this article,  I shall be sharing with you, satellite tv receivable in Africa with their tracking parameters such as Frequencies, Symbol rates, position and Dish size.   As a reminder, special reference shall be made to Nigeria.         While carrying out installation today I bumped into this satellite sattvinfo.net/satlist.php?sat=515e&lang=en with most of them fta but they were not showing nor talking, after doing some research I found out the channels were H.265 why my receiver is H.264, I would like to hear to thought on this.

        Thanks I got a 1meter dish and nailed it but after blind scan only 50 channels pop up including all MBC, what can I do to get other channels?, Plus can I nail any other satellite with this using another lnb to get more channels?

          @Engr Musa: you can either increase your signal by getting a bigger dish(provided your LNBf is of the highest quality possible) or tweak your LNB to marginally increase your signal.

      2 Intelsat 38 45°E particularly the t.p 11555v30000 which went off all of a sudden.

          @hope: A lot of things come into play here. It is not straightforward stuff. I mean, it depends on your location and the decoder you have at hand as well as the iks account within the decoder.

    Hi am in S.Africa. much tried to use a 2meter kuband dish to pick Ugandan mux on Euntelsat 10 but can’t find signal, even put a primary focus Lnb on 4.2 cband dish. To track Euntelsa 16A still no tress of those birds. Am suspe t signal travels from Madagascar to west africa

        Hello Lemmy. For sure, the signal of canal + reaches Kenya. I know some people who imported canal + decoders from Rwanda and they are using it. Even subscriptions, they send me money and I pay subscription on their behalf. 90cm dish is enough in Nairobi. So, Eratus should use any standard Ku lnb, as long as its input frequency range is 10.7-12.7MHz.

    I am in outskirts of Kigali city in Rwanda. As a biginner, those infos are of paramount importance. I have 80cm dish (from canal+) but I failed to track eutelsat 16E while I saw that I am in the footprint. Why is it difficult?

        Hello team,

        I bought a Freesat v7 combo decoder from Kenya/Nairobi. I also bought a 6ft dish (180cm) but because some dish parts were rusted, we put anti-rust thinking it would work better but we damaged its ability to get enough signal. The best signal it can hit is 40% and I do not get 68.5E, 57E nor 76.5E. What else can I do to improve it? or i only have to throw it away and buy another metal dish?

        Thank you for guidance. I finally got Eutelsat 16A on 16E using 10804H30000. Additionally, I was able to get astra 28e using 12525V30000. The signal is strong here, the only issue was that the dis was fixed in such a way that it couldn’t be elevated enough to reach those degrees. It remains to try to track combined satellites.

      @sope: please don’t mix it up. You need to use what is specified for a particular satellite package. E.g, dstv Nigeria requires Ku band lnb, meaning you can’t use cband lnb for it.

      As far as I know, Pauxis is among the best Cband lnb and inverto black andFuji dual are among the best ku lnbs especially for weak signals. Those are the ones I want to import from Kenya.
