I welcome you all to 2023 and this month’s news bulletin! I am presenting the “Lemmy Morgan 2023 update for September”. The primary purpose of this article is to acquaint you all with how and where to watch satellite programs and IPTV content cheaply or even free of charge. Here, we will be updating you about news and events that have happened since our last update up until this period. as far as satellite TV IKS and FTA News are concerned.
As always, Our focus on this post shall be to review, analyze, and offer advice on issues that concern Satellite TV and IPTV technology in Africa and the rest of the world. I took some time to reset and re-strategize on the best possible ways to represent my thoughts and ideas on the subject matter without legally stepping on toes while still educating you, my esteemed followers. All we shall be doing here is continuing to research cheap ways to enjoy premium TV content.
Moving forward, this post will be in real-time, and it will be regularly updated. So, when it is time for a new update, I will modify this post by adding new content and removing outdated ones. This will be a better method than publishing a new article every month.
Definition of Important Terms on Lemmy Morgan 2023 Monthly update
I will use terms that may be difficult for the newbies to comprehend fully. However, if you have followed this site for a while, you will understand all the terms. This is necessary because no one wants to step on the toes of the law. In addition, if you find any grey areas in this post, you should contact your local satellite installers for clarification.
I will divide the entire post into two categories and several sub-headings. The first category would be news and gossip that have nothing to do with “broadcast piracy” whatsoever. The second section could be a few controversial updates that may have issues with broadcast piracy. In the latter part, you will have to read and apply at your own risk as I won’t be liable if you get into trouble with the law while trying to watch pay-TV content free. I do not advise or recommend anyone to watch pay-TV content for free.

Latest Events on Lemmy Morgan 2023 Update for September
In this segment, I will highlight the most recent trending happenings in the satellite world “in bold red fonts” before discussing them in detail. It is worthy of note that the information provided in the “emboldened red fonts” below is accurate as of the time of publishing this post. However, things can change the next minute without prior notice. Therefore, I will permanently delete no longer valid information as soon as possible.

- Nigcomsat 45e sports are currently working as free-to-air. Enjoy this while it lasts.

- SLtv continues to work on both its official decoder and Fshare-supported decoders. The list of some satellite receivers that support fshare are as follows: Mediastar. Tigerstar decoders t10 to t60, G10 magic, Starsat and so on.
- Moreplex is still in operation, and they have launched another transponder on 54.0e
- TStv Africa is currently down. There is no news as regards when it might be back.
- Lastly, Yayi TV services are still up and running. However, it requires new subscriptions to start opening the channels.
- Major Transpoders/Frequencies are currently Offline of Hotbird 13B, C, and E. They are being migrated to the new two replacements on Hotbird 13G and 13F. Some of the affected frequencies include 10719V27500, 10911V27500, 10930V, 11111V,11278V, 11393V, 11411H, 11449H, 11488H, 11642H, 11662V, 11919V etc. They should be back by the end of July 2023. - Presently, “forever Pro regular server and Forever VIP are decrypting moreplexTV channels on belintersat 51e.
- Crystal Ott’s IPTV server is now back. It went off for close to 40 days. Surprisingly, other IPTV services have worked flawlessly since Crystal’s server went off.
- Forever IKS servers is also opening some channels on 9E. The channels include discovery. No Cosmote sports yet. You can track the available channels using this frequency: 12015H27500, 11996V, 11918V30000.
- Forever team’s most significant rival now has an IKS account that opens the same packages as “Forever VIP”; this package’s name is Nashare2. They offer one-month and three-month subscriptions with no extra days. You can use this account on nashare2-complaint and Sunplus compatible decoders such as influx G17, csat pro 9900, televes 9800, Strong Gold infinix, etc.
- By popular demand and as a precautionary measure, the “Forever IKS VIP account” now offers 30 days(=10 days of grace making 40) and three months( +30 days+ subscriptions
- similarly, SP1 code. It opens European satellite packages for big dishes that can nail European satellites.
- It is no longer news that yayi has a new frequency on ABS 3W. learn more here.
- People are now migrating aggressively to IPTV, even in Nigeria. I give huge credit to Elon Musk’s Starlink. People in areas where there is poor internet connection can now do so with incredible speed. - Lastly, DStv increased their tariffs yet again. Effective from the 1st of May, you will start paying the new prices except if you keep renewing before your due date.
- it is rumored that Sp1 code on compatible receivers can decrypt cosmote 9 sports, BR 1 and 2…on 26e beOut Q.
- The “forever VIP code” is opening both premium DS*v sports channels on 36E small dish and all beIN sports channels on Nilesat 7w, and on Badr 26E, and 8W have been blocked on the forever VIP server as at the time of publishing this article. As always, use it while it lasts. By the way, you can get this as 1-month and 3-month subscriptions only.
- I picked out two satellite receivers for review based on the availability of updated software. These two receivers are; tiger star Gaza and t50 tiki-taka. You can read my review of tiger t50 tiki-taka.
- SLTV/METRO DIGITAL is still online on 51.e with the same (TP:11088 H 16666). They still re-broadcast all DStv sports channels and a few news and entertainment channels from DStv. However, the viewing experience is very, very poor. Therefore, if you already have their decoder, you can enjoy this goodie while it lasts. I wouldn’t advise anyone to buy the decoder just yet. Patience is a virtue.
- The “forever VIP code” can decrypt premium DS*v sports channels on 36E small dish, beIN sports channels, Nilesat 7w on 26E, and 8W on all forever-account-compatible receivers. While this still works as we speak, use it while it lasts. By the way, you can get this as 1-month and 3-month subscriptions only.
- You need a sunplus decoder to continue enjoying x-sports channels.
- Nshare 2 sever can open the following satellite packages: DStv, starttmes, and 7w
- Similarly, Aster receivers, also come embedded with three premium IPTV accounts, namely, belo IPTV, Haha iptv, and myHD iptv.
- Aster 150 is now on sale, and just like mediastar decoders, it fully supports “forever pro server. Among other things, and, just like mediastar, aster comes with the following built-in CAS solutions: 15 months Forever iks, Apollo iptv 3 months, and Forever tv IPTV 6 months. - If you don’t know, SLTV, TStv, and moreplex remote control can be used interchangeably.
- Only 4k Tigersat decoders support Forever Pro such as tiger 3000 mega 4k. Other tiger decoders have been withdrawn from the African market. Some other decoders that support the forever pro account include starsat 2000, mediastar 16000, and so on.

- There is an alternative to hellobox Smart S2 Bluetooth SatFinder. The name of this awesome piece is BT05 GTMedia V8 Satellite Finder DVB-S2. It works as smart s2 and it is more readily available and cheaper than smart s2. Don’t get me wrong, it is not better than smart s2(bt05 doesn’t support DVB player), but it gets the job of helping you to track your satellite done.
- The most popular decoders out there at the moment are the ones that can install forever accounts. These decoders include mediastar 2727, MINI 2525, and aster s100. However, hellobox 6 combos and hellobox 8 offer something similar and unique. You can read up on the updated topic on the decoder here.
- Canalplus official subscription can now add basic DStv English channels at an extra cost.

- OSN Package continues to work on Nilesat 7w with Forever, Gshare3, and Funcam servers. For those who love using SDS mode forever, don’t forget to point your data dish to 14w, 52.5e, or 30w. The frequency to use to get osn on 7W is “11996/V/30000”
- For All IPTV lovers who don’t want to subscribe to paid premium IPTV and want to watch premium content, you can google up and download any of the following IPTV APKs: “AOS TV”, “BOBOLive tv”

These price changes are justified and in line with the Inflation Ravaging the Nigerian Economy. We currently have about a 12% inflation rate in Nigeria.
As much as I feel the pain of my people, I have also realized that attempting to explain to the average Nigerian that DStv is not a monopoly is a waste of time. I will continue giving you cheaper alternatives while we pray that the government gets things right and provides an enabling environment for companies operating in the country.
We should note that DSTV and GOtv are not the only TV companies struggling with the unstable Nigerian Economy. The likes of Startimes and Iroko TV are also feeling the heat.
To be honest, we have only our government to blame, as these companies are private companies, and they have the right to do whatever they like. - Subscribers of Startimes in Nigeria are venting their grievances on Facebook because they have moved some sports channels(world football Ch.245 and sports premium Ch.246) from their smart bouquet to their highest package, “super bouquet.” Their highest package is still very affordable compared to DStv’s, though. However, Football is the real deal, and even GOtv max has more popular sports channels than startimes best package for sports.

Tracking Frequency for Hidden Channels on 16E
Using your regular 60 to 90CM Offset dish, you can track these hidden channels by using this frequency: 11356 H 45000, 12562 h 30000, and10804 h 30000
. However, if you don’t have this new world decoder, you won’t be open to the channels, even if they pop up.

Basic Requirements
- You need a good LNB. I recommend the New premium gold LNB or something better. The strong short neck hasn’t been very successful. yOU NEED TWO OF these.
- Secondly, you require at least a 90cm offset dish.
- Finally, you need a tracking device. Be it your satfinder or a decoder.
Method 2
- Firstly, track multi TV with this TP 12522 v 30000 and get the highest signal possible.
- Next, input media 7 frequency 10970 v 27500, elevate your dish a bit, and you will hit media 7.
- Now, you will need to input MBC frequency 12284 v 27500 and raise it up a little bit.
- 32e will also receive a signal once you complete the above steps. You may need to call your professional satellite TV installer if you are still in a fix.

Mr. Morgan, please i have an Aster s150 receiver which has refused to boot for a couple of days. All possible means to revive it has proven futile.
In fact, i have downloaded its firmware and rename them as ‘rom.bin’ , ‘flash.bin’ etc. but none worked.
When the boot comes on the panel, i quickly press the power button and it changes to USB but refuses to automatically picks the file to initiate the booting process.
Is there anything that i am not doing right?

Good day my boss in the house. Please I need an urgent help. I use Aster s100 plus. Recently whenever I scan astra 19.2E on my decoder, it gets to a particular spot and stop scanning. Everything will just freeze. The timer will freeze also I would be left with no choice than to unplug my decoder and plug back. I’ve done this countless of times and it’s still the same. What could be the problem and possible solution?? It just scan to a particular channel 189 asomdwie and freeze. Please help
@OLALEKAN: THAT LOOKS LIKE A BUG or hardware problem. if you know how to set the decoder up from the scratch, please try and factory reset it and try again. Note: IF YOU FACTORY REST IT, EVERYTHING WILL BE WIPED. sO, DON’T DO THIS IF YOU ARE NOT THE PERSON WHO SET IT UP ORIGINALLY.

Happy new year bro, I need ut help.. I have issue with my extraview, primary showing and secomdary not showing. I even change the 2 decoders yesterday and same is happening. I even put smart lnmb same. I bought new diplexer, same.. No communication. I moved it closer and same thing.. Dstv can’t even help. It cannot be internet problem because Apollo5 and XTREAM iptv are all working well with the same internet connection.
The problem is that Forever iptv was working before with the same internet connection but suddenly stopped. It only replies “failed” on attempts to make it work. Is their Server down?. I still have up to 70 days of validity period on the said Forever iptv account

@Aster or mediastar are both relatively affordable and multifunctional at the moment. If you want to upgrade, then you can buy any android hybrid receiver + IPTV box combos such as starsat, gtmedia and co.
With much respect to Lemmy, I think satellite decoder is pretty different from satellite receiver. Example of satellite decoders are set top boxes (STB) used by the pay TV companies like DStv, tstv, sky TV and so on. Satellite decoders are exclusively and only useful for the pay TV company that produce it i e. DStv decoder cannot work with tstv and vice versa. On the other hand satellite receivers are open ended STB that can receive all satellite signals but are mainly useful for FTA channels and IKS as most paytv companies have linked their smartcard to their decoders. So even if a satellite receiver has a card reading feature, it may not be able to read the paytv card and decode scrambled channels except it’s an open ended card like old DStv smart cards of those days which can work on any of their decoders and satellite receivers that can read irdeto cards. So when you think of watching paytv channels legally, get their decoders to be able to enjoy full content of their services. But when you’re a FTA and IKS guy, you think of satellite receivers

A satellite TV with the LNB port. i decided to test it with a small 45cm dish & my installer was able to get MultiTV channels 200+. i desire to get the TsTV channels with multiple dish using diseq switch. just hearing about the forever server from your posts. Cld u pls shed more light on it. i’m all for documentaries, news & sports.
addition info: the led tv came with a LAN port to connect via a wireless router. it also has the card slot for premium subscription.

Already got a diseq switch n cables for the expansion to 3 dishes. what FTA would you recommend for News, Documentaries (National Geographic priority), Music, Movies, Kiddies Education & Sports for the 60cm & 90cm dish to add to the 45cm already on MultiTV. i dont know how to get the decoder serial on the satellite TV so i can use it to scout for the Forever Pro server account which i have not been able to get any link. I’m a fan of streaming and my favourite streaming device in the Amazon firestick 4K. Moving with time, I recently bought a newer version, Amazon firestick 4K Max through the same source in the US. I have noticed that the 4K Max one has the youtube which can not be downloaded onto the device. Each time you click on it, it gives error message that it is unavailable. The word unavailable comes next to a cash out trolley. I’m able to access youtube via third party apps. But I want to access youtube via the official youtube app. How can I overcome this challenge? What is it that I’m not doing right?

My dear sirs & Guru Lemmy, I am meeting this problem for the first in all the years I have been into sat TV, tracking, signalling and installation works. I bought a brand new C-SAT C8 PRO EXTRA decoder. When I scan the decoder
(1) with good NIGCOMSAT signal cable put into the decoder
(2) with a 2nd good DSTV signal cable inserted to the decoder,
(3) with a 3rd ASTRA 28.2°EAST (Ghana channels) 85% signal cable put into the decoder
and I blind scan it….severally
It will always tell me “NO PROGRAM FOUND”.
What kind of wahala is this? I have FACTORY RESET decoder thrice.
How can I do to correct this problem?

Upon first start-up I have inadvertently gotten my new Tiger Eye’s One Million STB into an HDMI video mode that none of my displays supports. You don’t need any payment for SDS mode signal.
You will use the same dish size that you wll use if you want to track and view channels from the SDS satellites normally. EG to view channels from rodiguez 7e, you need a 90cm dish size. Now, to use same rodiquez as you data signal for forever SDS mode, you will need same 90cm

@Ifeanyi: you will need t pay for the subscripton. forever is automatically applied over-the-air after payment. IPTV is relative, you need to be specific about the one that you want that is compatible with your device.

@Sunny: you should know that both tstv and moreplex offers paid tv services. more often than not, they will block unauthorized access. Secondly, which type of forever are you using? only forever pro and mx attempt to open those packages.

However, the Moreplex channels don’t open even though the channels show that they are opened by the Server they still say they are scrambled even when they are turned to yellow colour. @Vincent: nothing free can get you epl matches on your decoder. Secondly, nothing very cheap can get you epl matches with 90cm du=ish using your decoder.
For epl matches: you can buy a premium IPTV account and uses it with your decoder without a dish.
Otherwise, you need at least a 4 meters dish to get European birds that can show EPL using a builtin gtmedia iks account or a 3rd party Cccam

I had my startime since 2017 and my challenge has just been the ease of renewal.The person who usually does the renewal subscription here is too mobile, renewing takes a long time. @Emanuel: if startimes is officially available in Cameroon, all you need to do is to walk into their office for renewal. if it is not available over there officially, I can’t help you. You may also visit their website to see if you can -pay online from your country.

@babalola: any free to air that broadcast premium soccer events does so on a temporary basis especially on a small dish. Uts either you use iptv or get yourself a big dish or buy official satellite TV packages if you want to enjoy paytv contents

Thank your for your great posts. I will suggest that in future monthly updates should omit any updates for small dishes users especially concerning live sports like epl to your WhatsApp or telegram groups so to protect it from dstv/ irdeto killing them.. thanks

Thanks you Sir, My point is that my Mediastar 2727 decoder is not autorolling Idman tv and biss menu refuses to show up whenever I press the biss dedicated button( Page-), but the same biss menu will appear whenever Signal 6 is On.
