Here, we will be updating you about news and events that have happened since our last update up until this period. as far as satellite TV IKS and FTA News is concerned. Although little has changed from the past few months, Nonetheless, I promise you that you will gain immensely from reading this month’s update.
As always, Our focus on this post shall be to review, analyze, and offer advice on issues that concern Satellite TV and IPTV technology in Africa and the rest of the world. I took some time out to reset and re-strategize on the best possible ways to represent my thoughts and ideas on the subject matter without legally stepping on toes while still educating you my esteemed followers. All we do here is continue to search for cheap ways of enjoying TV.
Moving forward, this post will be real-time and it will be regularly updated. So, when it is time for a new update, I will simply modify this post by adding new content and removing outdated ones. This will be a better method compared to having to publish a new article every month.

I will be making use of terms that may be difficult for the newbies to fully comprehend. However, if you have been following this site for a while, you will understand all the terms. In this segment, I will highlight the most recent trending happenings in the satellite world before proceeding to talk about them in detail.

- Metro-digital Silver Lake TV(SLTV) has suspended the sales of their smart cards. In other words, if you have previously bought the smart card, i am sorry, your money is gone. On the other hand, they are still actively selling their decoders. It is rumored that their monthly subscription is #4,500. They practically copied all Dstv contents unmodified. They claimed they have the approval of DStv whether this is false or true is yet to be known. Their satellite position is the same as that of TStv ON 51.5e. SLTV most recent tracking frequency is(11103 H 16666): Also, they have all sporting content across the globe on their lineup. Their channels include ss variety 2, TNT, SSpl, ss LA liga, ss WWE and so on. Suffice to say that one needs to exercise caution and use while it lasts as no one knows whether they have the broadcasting rights for the EPL contents on their service. Their satellite position is not yet available for public consumption. So stay tuned. SLTV’s broadcast time is 5 minutes slower than that of DStv.
- IDman Tv and CBC That Shares the same satellite position with Yayi are still very much working as FTA. Please don’t misunderstand these channels, they only come online when there is live matches. CBC broadcast UCL Europa, la liga, turkish league, and so on while IDman only air EPL. As a result of their mode of operation, it is very possible for one to be active while the other is offline. There is no need for any biss keys. They are both soccer live feeds channels. Secondly, you don’t need to input any biss keys for idman to work.
- OTTBest IPTV server/account is currently the only IPTV account with the most active channels overall. (it has almost 13,000). It is available only on a yearly subscription.
- NBC launches free-to-air decoders in Lagos in line with the federal government DSO goal. you can read more here. The decoder is not yet officially available. just watch this space for updates.
- Showmax and MTN now offer a partnership promo that allows subscriptions to enjoy 1-month showmax subscription + 25 hours streaming allowance just for #2,500.
- There is a Cccam that is not yet popular that can open metro-digital channels on 51.1E. Please don’t ask me as I don’t sell anymore.
- Furthermore, it appears the master decoder(not popular in Nigeria) is capable of opening 51.1e channels via its redshare server.
- Some strong decoders such as 4950, 4955, 4940 which come with 3 months IPTV accounts are now renewable. contact your local dealer or check the comment section
- From a reliable source, the report reaching me today(14th of April, 2021) Is that OSN Package is back on Nilesat 7w with Forever, Gshare3, and Funcam servers. For those of you who love using SDS mode on forever, don’t forget to point your data dish to 14w, 52.5e, or 30w. The frequency to use to get osn on 7W is “11996/V/30000”

- Cccam account is now available for 16e and it opens all the premium channels on it including all the new world and startimes channels. Previously, you could only watch new world channels with the help of their decoder only. Now, you can use a cccam on any cccam enabled decoder to view the channels.
- Forever server now opens some non-soccer premium channels on 16.0ºE. The channels include p*on the channel. You can blindscan on your decoder if your decoder is currently pointed to this satellite postion
- TARA HD is still working and its position remains on belintersat 51e MyTv Position. Just scan and enjoy. They have the best of Yoruba entertainment.
- ourTV Ghana popularly known as Ghallywood TV is off-air again fro the umpteenth time. All you need to do is to change your polarization from “V” to “H”. This TV package is available as Free-to-air on 32º0E Using a 90cm dish. Apart from soccer action, another highly demanded package on this position is “xtracinema”. - MyTV Africa on 16e still has Cccam that is still working and currently on sale.
- GTmedia is still selling fast as it is one of the most complete and affordable Hybrid android decoders we have out there. Similarly, if all you need is a basic multistream decoder, you may give A3000 decoder a shot.
- MediaStar decoders series such as ms-2121/2727, MS-15000 forever, MS-Diamond z1, MS-Mini2525, MS-MINI1111, MS-MINI1818 are some of the latest decoders in town, and they supports a lot of IKS accounts including forever server. Multichoice Performed an Upward Review of the Price of DStv and GOtv Subscription
These changes price is justified and in Line with the Inflation Ravaging the Nigerian Economy. We currently have about a 12% inflation rate in Nigeria.
As much as I feel the pain of my people, I have also come to the realization that attempting to explain to the average Nigerian that DStv is is not a monopoly is a waste of time. I will continue giving you cheaper alternatives while we pray that the government should get things right and provide an enabling environment for companies operating in the country.
We should note that Dstv and GOtv are not the only TV companies that are struggling with the unstable Nigerian Economy. The likes of Startimes and Iroko tv are also feeling the heat.
To be honest, we have only our government to blame as these companies are private companies and they have the right to do whatever they like. What Has Happened to CTL Services?
Although I have mentioned the problem that we are currently having with CTL on my post on CTL. I can authoritatively say that the reasons why CTL has shutdown services are because of the multiple raids EFCC carried out on their facilities in Uyo and Port Harcourt. EFCC published this on their website. You can get the full details about the port-Harcourt raid here and read that of Uyo here. With this development, we can’t say if or when CTL will be back because they are been accused of illegal broadcasting of Pay-TV contents belonging to DStv.
In a twist of event, the association has demanded the release of the arrested people citing the fact that the case between them and Dstv is still in court. Vanguard also reported that ACON has vowed to sue EFCC over the invasion of the Multipoint Microwave Distribution Systems (MMDS) of CANTv, MetroTv, and CTL by the EFCC in the Rivers state capital.
In the meantime, you may have to look for alternatives if you used to enjoy CTL’s services.

Basic Requirements
- You need a good LNB. I recommend the New premium gold LNB or something better. The strong short neck hasn’t been very successful. yOU NEED TWO OF THIS.
- Secondly, you require at least a 90cm offset dish.
- Finally, you need a tracking device. be it your satfinder or a decoder.
The Steps
- Firstly, track CNN at 32 degrees with frequency 11015 v 30000
- Secondly, input media7(M7) with frequency 10970 v27500 and skew your LNBf to the right-hand side a bit.
- Do this while still focusing on 32 degrees, and both MBC and multi tv will surface
Method 2
- Firstly, track multi TV with this TP 12522 v 30000 and get the highest signal possible.
- Next, input media 7 frequency 10970 v 27500 and elevate your dish up a little bit and you will hit media 7.
- Now, you will need to input MBC frequency 12284 v 27500 and raise it up a little bit.
- As a matter of fact, 32e will also receive a signal once you complete the above steps. If you are still in a fix, you may need to call your professional satellite TV installer.
I am joyful to tell you that you can now enjoy the sky sport Uno HD Satellite Tv channel on Eutelsat 9E. Only Multistream decoders such as c sat pro can open this channel as there is no special IKS account. It requires no internet access. The frequency to track sky sport UNO on 9E is 12190 V 31397. @George: you can’t get beIn 1 to 12 illegally. to get those, please buy their official decoder. If you want to get most of beIN channels illegally, you need IPTV, not a satellite dish. Please read this post in between the lines for i\updates on all the packages you can receive unofficially.

You need big dish to get all Cosmote sports channels like 3m more so forever and orca have stop opening Cosmote sports 1 2 3 for now

I recently tracked NSS-12 57e on my Starsat Sr-90000hd extreme decoder with a valid Forever server account. However, the BFBS and AFN package are showing scrambled despite the BFBS package showing red, signifying Forever server activation. How do I go about troubleshooting this?

@kdee: please read my latest update. If these channels are not mentioned, it simply means you can’t watch it unofficially. You can either watch channels officially as fta or by paying the subscription. Otherwise, you need to find a device or an account that has been designed to open the channels illegally. So please read between the lines to get such an account or device. the most complete devices that come with builtin accounts still remain forever server/gshare and orca server. These are tigerstar and icone decoders’ account.

I borrowed another T8 with thesame version 3.87 to confirm only to find out the receiver is auto rolling. It appears something is missing in my receivers please help us with solution thanks.

I need help with two issues, what else can I do pls?
1. I got csat c8 pro+ on Wednesday and track Chinese mux today. I got many CCTV and over 300 other Channels but both CCTV and other Chanels with dollar sign are not opening. I connected the decoder to the net but nothing happened.
2. I did online upgrade of the decoder software and it showed successful but when it rebooted it goes straight to the screen to upgrade from usb and both the remote and button on the decoder won’t work again . I still have another of same decoder, what can I do.

@EB: the channels will hopefully be back. sadly there is nothing you can do on your part apart from ensuring that your installation is intact.
I already explained my issue to you and the recommendation you gave me was to get a latest version of STRONG decoder, but due to financial constraints I decided to get another brand of decoder that will be cheaper and still do the job of tracking nigcomsat. After following your suggestions, I was able to track dstv and it is working perfectly at 93% strength and 91% quality. Thank you. But my taeget, which is nigcomsat, I could not track it. The strength and quality didn’t exceed 81% and 23% respectively. Please what could be wrong. Is it my decoder cos I use srt 4663xii? I also observed that if I don’t factory reset it after fruitless search for nigcomsat, I won’t be able to track back my dstv coordinates.
