Precautions Before Updating a Custom Firmware or an Official Firmware
Backup your data first using Sony Pc companion
Important Warning!
- Make sure your device has at least 80% battery power.
- You already have USB Driver Installed for your Sony Xperia. you can do this by downloading and installing pc companion
- Make sure USB Debugging is enabled.
Procedure to Manually Update SONY Xperia V LT25i with Jellybean 4.1.2 9.1.A.0.490 Firmware
- Download 9.1.A.0.490 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware Package and Flashtool from here to your computer. Once downloaded, install the flash tool, and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Create a folder on Desktop with the name “Xperia V Jellybean Update” and place the .ftf file in this folder.
- Navigate to the path C:\Flashtool path or to the path where you have installed the Flashtool in your computer.
- Open the Flashtool and click on “Thunder” symbol situated at the top left portion of the Flash tool and select the “Flashmode” in the pop-up and then click on “Ok” to proceed.
- On firmware selection window you will need to click on “…” to select the file of .ftf which is in “Xperia V Jellybean Update”. Select the path and then it will automatically pick up the firmware file.
- Now, you will need to turn off the phone, wait for 10 seconds and then press the Volume Down Rocker Key and at the same time connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable.
- The update process will take around 4 -5 minutes and once the update is done, you will need to wait for 4- 8 more minutes for the device to reboot as it takes longer time than usual.
- Once the firmware update is applied successfully, you can check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone > Build Number” where the current firmware will be mentioned as 4.1.2 Jellybean 9.1.A.0.490 Firmware.
Guide to Update SONY Xperia T LT30p with Jellybean 4.1.2 9.1.A.0.489 Firmware
- Download Jellybean 4.1.2 9.1.A.0.489Firmware File and Flash tool from here to your computer. Once downloaded, open the Flash tool and follow the on-screen instructions to install the same. Once the device is installed, you now need to Turn Off your phone. Place the downloaded .ftf file in some folder on the desktop, preferably name the folder as “LT30p Firmware”
- Head over to the path C:\Flashtool path or to the path where you have installed the Flashtool in your computer.
- Open the Flashtool and click on “Thunder” symbol situated at the top left portion of the Flash tool and select the “Flashmode” in the pop-up and then “Ok”.
- Now, in the firmware selection window, you will need to click on “…” as shown in the below screen capture to select the file of .ftf which is in “LT30p Firmware”. Select the path and then it will automatically pick up the firmware file.
- Once it’s done, assuming that your phone in Off State, press the Volume Up Rocker Key and at the same time connect your Xperia T to the computer with the help of original USB cable to see the Blue LED Glow in your Xperia T smartphone indicating that it’s entered in the Flash Mode.
- The process of the update will be started automatically. The whole process of firmware update might take around 4 -8 minutes and also it may take more time than expected for booting the device in the normal mode as it’s the first time the device will be booting after the firmware update.
- Once the firmware update is applied successfully, you can check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone > Build Number” where the current firmware will be mentioned as Jellybean 4.1.2 9.1.A.0.489 Firmware.
