I am posting this for azsky G6 Users who have dead g6 decoders in their possession. In this post, you will learn about how you can revive a dead Azsky G6. If the receiver part of your G6 is damaged, then you must read this tutorial to wake your G6 back to life via pc or laptop using serial to usb. I bought some G6 about four months ago, and one of them will not just boot up. Whenever I plug it into the power source, the red(standby)light will be on, but the small screen that usually contains the digits that display the channels will be blank. I will explain with the help of a picture as shown below:
Definition of the Problems that Prevent G6 From Booting Fully
From the picture above, you could see that all that you got from the front panel is merely the standby light. This means that there is something wrong with the receiver part of your G6 decoder that is preventing it from booting up.
It is only when your g6 boots fully that it will display the lights containing the channels digits right beside the standby light. Moreover, a decoder that is not fully booted will not display on your television screen. If you have the situation, above, your g6 is useless because you can’t use it for anything whatsoever. However, your GPRS dongle part will still be okay as shown below;

How to Recover/repair an AZSKY G6 RECEIVER That has a Software Damage to its Receiver Part
By receiver part, I mean the software aspect of the receiver, not the hardware components. With the help of a PC(Recommended as always is a desktop computer), you can bring your G6 back to life, happy reading.
- Download and extract teraterm479.zip with WinRAR to reveal teraterm.exe
- Also download navi_s_326su.flash.gz.gro.stp‘ which is the flash file of G6 decoder receiver part(Note: we have another flash file for the GPRS dongle aspect that is used with azsky flashtool)
- Install teraferm.exe on your computer and complete the followings;
1. First, you should put the rear panel switch to the sat position, then connect G6 and your computer by serial cable
2. Open the tool Tera Term，and select the port that you are using(with most desktop computers, its normally COM 1). And you should set Baudrate as 115200 and Data as 8 bit and Stop as 1 bit
3. Power On your G6 box, and press “space” key on the keyboard right now, then some message will appear displayed in tera term as bellow as follows;
4. Please Input 2 on your keyboard , then teraterm will tell you that you can send upgrade file as shown below;
5. Next we will use Xmodern to send upgrade file “navi_s_326su.flash.gz.gro.stp” to sat box. The step is： From Tera Term press File –> Transfer –> XMODEM –> Send, then there will show a popup window, you can choose the upgrade file in your folder, then press the open button, and wait for a few minutes.
（1）select navi_s_326su.flash.gz.gro.stp
（2.）upgrade progress data：
（3.）when upgrade is done, the box will restart automatically
Note: After you upgrade the box by serial port, you will need to upgrade the newest software by usb.. The file Nov_SU_TEST_20130805.ssu is the software that can be used via usb upgrade. You can get that here

Thanks LM for your assistance here always,I have a problem with my qsat 11g; it always display bad signal and have tried it(connect it with his own cable) in a friends place that his own is working perfectly, yet it display bad signal, don’t know what’s wrong. Any help will be appreciated.
@maybe your lnb settings is wrong., are you sure lnb type is set to KU band?/.
Secondly are you sure thunder or lightening didn’t strike your qsat prior to this problem?

Oga lemmy thanks a lot for your support here. I receive some infinity tv channels on the same freqeuncy as Daarsat, but I do not get infinity sport Channels. How do I get the sport and other channels on INFINITY TV. Thanks alot
@elvis, you can alternatively scan for infinity on multitv position. i can’t guarantee free access to infinity sports though.

@shaker, your 4653x doesn’t have what it takes to open satellite coded in mpeg-4 please go and buy strong 4922A or newer

@jahsech, most azsky dongles are working now. new and old accout as long as the account has not expired. they are currently doing stability test…all other boxes with active accounts will come up later

My AZ G2 is not working on Dst* and I started using the decoder April 2014, the led lights are blinking normally and I tried the best sim network at my area which is etisalat n mtn but it ddnt work. And I recently used it to watch bein sport that same april. Abeg any solution?

Azsky is behaving very strangely as of 11.18am Ghana time.. It’s working Alryt but with a few channels.. The channels are running on a shift basis.. U check one channel it freezes then when u go to another channel it opens then it also freezes as well.. Nd da cycle continues. They should boost their servers or or signal cos it’s a few hours to kick off.. We are patiently but sadly waiting.
My rs232 cable is conected i supect something when i open my az sky it fall on the floor to wire connecting the body cut since then i haven’t see any channel working but when ever i change channel it blinks

Please help me, I’m using Azsky with a strong Decoder, but I noticed recently that when I change a channel, while Azsky is trying to load, the signal strenght keeps fluctuating and stabilizes after 10seconds.this doesn’t happen when I disconnect Azsky. What could be the problem? (Pls Note, the LNB is ok, and I’m currently using on my DStv decoder).

Hi, do you have a procedure for reviving dead G1 Super dongle. I was upgrading my firmware and it went dead. No light is coming on even if I connect to power.

Yeah.. It’s currently working as of 1.17pm Ghana time but with just a few channels… About 50% stable as well… I hope they get back before tomorrow fully functioning. ( G1 super).
