In one of my previous articles, I made mention of the fact that you can load your normal mobile apk on ancloud p5 as well as similar android boxes. We have two methods of load an app into ancloud p5 android media box; 1. by loading it through google play that comes preloaded on the box or 2. By sideloading the app. I won’t talk about installation via google play store because every android phone user is familiar with this method. I will be discussing how to sideload(or how to load downloaded .apk android app into your ancloud)
Important update: Ancloud is now outdated and no longer available for sale. You should instead get anmax x10 which is a better box and from the same team. Learn more about anmax here
What are the Requirements for Installing APK on Ancloud P5
Before you can load an app successfully into your ancloud p5, you must meet the following prerequisites;
- You must have the setup file of the app you want to install(for example, i have the setup file of homelive app which is the premium account application of ancloud)
- The file you want to load must be compatible with your media box’s OS. E.g ancloud comes with 4.4.2 Android os and it will not run any app that supports Android 4.3 and below.
- You need a clean virus-free USB flash drive.
How to Install Apk on Ancloud P5 Android IPTV Media Box
Just in case there is any of your preloaded app especially homelive that has stopped working there is an upgrade via usb for your box.
- Download the apk and copy it into a clean USB flash drive. All ancloud users who already installed homelive apk with a valid premium account should download this free apk “homevod.apk” for their device.
- Navigate to App installer on your ancloud and open it. Choose the second option which in most cases should be USB A>>
- Next, search the storage device and once the contents are displayed, click on the apk you want to install and follow the onscreen instructions
- Once done, you will see the newly installed application on your ancloud’s homescreen. Or under my app.

@Peace, every cccam is universal meaning it can be used on any compatible decoder as long as you have a dish that is facing a position that the cccam supports. Please explain what you mean by universal cccam. Thanks

@ibrahim, first thing first, performing any task on ancloud is as easy as abc and as smooth as jelly. Now to your question; yes, you can buy the box without buying the premium account. The only setback is that it cost more buying only the box without buying the premium account comparatively.

pls lemmy, am interested in these ancloud beast, i was at their website and realised differences in packages and prices, for example chinese japanese and koreans have different channel packages, you know some of us like and die for sports and will like have the beinsports channels and the skysports channels on the chinese package, my question is does the names matter? or all premium accounts comes with the same packages with custom packages for the respective markets? by the way pls check your mail and give me the price quotes. thanks
