You all know that on this blog, i try my best to enlighten people on the latest development on Satellite products for Africa. And as of today, the name Azsky is a household name. In case you don’t know the Chinese company with the brand name azsky, is the manufacturer of Xman, Xtrem, G1, G1+ G2, and now the latest of their release is G6. Azsky G6 is a Dvb-s2 HD Gprs Combo Receiver. This receiver adds some major improvements over its predecessor the G2 Gprs Combo receiver which happens to be a DVB-S1 / Mpeg-2 receiver.
Let me walk you through the summary of the features of this decoder; It comes with a sim slot just like g1, it also comes with a LAN port should you prefer to connect via a router. it has options for two dishes and twin protocols just in case you want to use an external dongle with it. It also has wifi capability and boasts IPTV functionality. It works out of the box meaning it comes with an inbuilt cccam account just like g1 and g2 the only thing is that, how long the inbuilt cccam account will last before it expires has not yet been ascertained. What is the difference between AZSKY G6 Adapter to AZSKY G2 and AZSKY G1?
1, AZ SKY G1 Adapter is a GPRS SIM card dongle,
2,AZ SKY G2 is G1 + DVB-S Combo receiver (meaning dongle + mpeg-2 receiver)
3,AZSKY G6 is DVB-S2 HD+GPRS COMBO+IKS+SKS satellite receiver (meaning dongle plus mpeg-4 HD receiver)
what do you need when you use G1 ,G2, G6?
1, G1 , Users need to connect to a Y4 receiver + 1 dish antenna + 1 GPRS SIM card
2, G2 , Users just need 1 dish antenna + 1 GPRS SIM card, only can watch the sd channel;
3,G6, users just need 1 dish antenna+1GPRS SIM CARD or just need 1 Dish antenna, can open the sd channel and HD channel.

I wish to know weder using Azsky G1 or any other set Top Boxe to open DSTV or MYTV Channels is LEGAL. Is dis done with the consent of dis Tv service providers.

Mr Lemmy, i think you should create a separate thread so people can update the thread and let everyone know if there is a server problem. or when their receiver is working or down. As it can be very frustrating trying to figure out if it is a general problem or individual problem.

Good day sir .. I have been having and unstable connection on my g2 . I wanted to flash it with the tool you provided in one of your post . My question is since I don’t have my account details and imei off hand will it affect my device when I proceed with the flash ? Because I believe the networks am using are stable enough but only get a minute of show time and 5 mins of scrambled channels . My azsky g2 performance keeps getting terrible as the day goes by . Please advice and thanks for yor patience and effort in helping us all .
if you flash without buying a new account then say bye bye to your g2 account. buy a reliable account first before flashing

no liberty firmware on the net for now(use decoder to decoder transfer instead)

Mr lemmy how do I have a stable connection on my azsky g2 . Just got it about a week now and mostly works fine from morning till about 6pm but it’s terrible in the evening . And it hasn’t been stable for the last couple of days . Any advice on how to enjoy a stable connection will be deeply appreciated . . And also I want to know if the data light blinks green like it should and still have scrambled channels is it a network , server or satellite problem ?
from your comments, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your g2. stability is a prerogative or the manufacturer not we the consumers. we can only pray they make it more stable
