Animax x10: what is inside the box?
We get pretty much the basic things. Mine came with a joystick because it’s a review copy. And to my excitement, this joystick also works for my PC games. You are the consumer will get the followings when you place an order for Anmax x10.
- You get 1x pc of anmax x10 android tv box and GameCenter
- 1x pc of the remote control
- In addition, you will see 1x of an HDMI Cable
- 1x of the power cable
I have uploaded a youtube video of what I saw inside my shipment as the time i received it. Like I said, this may be different from the consumer’s copy. For example, you might get the AV cable with yours as well as the user manual.

Anmax x 10 TV box unboxing & user experience: Step 1 pairing the remote and the controller
To pair your controller with the box is very easy. just read my article here about the process. Similarly, to pair the remote, just flip to the reverse side f the remote and you will see all the instructions there. I pretty much undertook one process to pair the remote. I put it into learning mode. To do this, press the set key on the remote for 6 seconds. Wait until the LED/light start flashing. Once this is done, you are in learning mode and your remote will work fine with the box.

Immediately you receive the box, the first thing you need to do is to upgrade the software. Subsequently, the box may come with an already upgrade software. To do this, simply read my article here
Anmax x 10 TV box unboxing & user experience: Step 3, connecting the box to the internet
Anmax x10 supports 2 major internet protocols. These are wifi and Ethernet/Lan. Also, you can use a VPN on it. I am using wifi connection on it and I will advise you to do same. You don’t need a router to connect it to your hotspot as long as you have a smartphone. Interestingly, the wifi doesn’t need a wifi adapter to work. Just set up your wifi hotspot and search for your wifi connection from within the box.
To setup wifi connection on Anmax x10, go to settings>>Network>>Wi-FI. Next, select your network and enter your password. To save, use the enter icon on the on-screen keyboard of the device. See picture below.

To start with, let it be known that you can install apps to your Anmax x10 in three ways. These are 1. by installing directly from Google play store(You will need your Gmail for this). 2. You can easily sideload any game or app by copying them to your USB drive and installing them through the device’s app installer. 3. Install app via anmax Appstore/Gamecenter.
How to Install or update app or game via Anmax GameCenter
First, off, you need to stable internet connection. Secondly, you will need to enable the installations of 3rd party software from your settings. It also depends on whether you are upgrading or doing a fresh install.
Whatever the case may be, scroll to the app you want to open and if it is not fully installed, you will see a prompt to press the menu button on your remote. You can also use the menu button on your gamepad to install, uninstall or download apps on anmax. See picture below for the location of this buttons.
You will surely need to download or update an app from Anmax app store at one point or the other. For example, to play the latest games from their GameCenter, or to install any of the IPTV apps.
Anmax x 10 TV box unboxing & user experience: How to watch IPTV?
It will be a sin if I don’t talk about this at all. Anmax is also a great IPTV media box. It can view movies, pictures, play sound and stream live IPTV. Basic free IPTV apps like youtube come preloaded. however, if you need IPTV solutions for premium programs such as movies and sports, you will need to do more from your end.
For all paid IPTV solution, you will need to buy a service code from the manufacturers. And they are the one to guide you on how to get started. the device is manufactured by pctvlab team. The manufacturer of GSky receivers. So you can visit their website for how to proceed with live premium IPTV.
In the opposite, if what you need is free IPTV, you can either use docsquify, KODI or android mobile IPTV apps like mobdro, sports 1 and so on. Kodi is free and you can manipulate Kodi to watch all sorts of programs free of charge.
Anmax x 10 TV box unboxing & user experience: How to play a game on Anmax x10
I already wrote a review (both text and video) of the gameplay on anmax x10. There is not much to say again. The only new thing is the fact that the GameCentre will be regularly updated with new game titles. You can check the image below for how Anmax x10 GameCenter looks like. You can launch the GameCenter from the Game menu on the bottom center of your TV screen.
