I have received several complaints from some unsuspecting (or let me say ignorant ) Gsky and hellobox users. Their complains centres on the fact that some of their powervu channels on a particular powervu satellite package are not working. It gives me the joy to announce to you that there is a simple fix for this. In this article, you will learn the trick on how to activate hellobox & gsky auto-roll and made it work effectively.
How to Activate Hellobox & Gsky Auto-Roll to Make it Work Steadily
So, if your Hellobox v5 or v5 plus or Gsky is going on and off, or if it is not currently working, you need to perform the following steps to get back to viewing action.
STEP 1. Upgrade your hellobox V5 Plus, GSKY V6, v6 OR v7 to the newest Software

1.Upgrade the software via USB flash drive by reading this article
First off, you need to take is for you to upgrade your Gsky or hellobox decoder to the latest available software.
2. Use Only the default Satellite list to Install Powervu or Biss channels
Where many people get it wrong is that they tend to scan the channels with the satellite position available to them as against what the auto-roll decoder supports. Please if you do not want to have any problem using hellobox for powervu and biss auto roll, you must use the default satellite list on the decoder. For example, the Sony package supported by hellobox auto-roll is on 68.5E. Don’t scan sony on any other satellite apart from this. Not even on 66.4e. The bottom line is that you should always use the default list.
3. Make sure the satellite you are scanning the channels on matches the decoder’s default satellite
Hellobox and GSKY receivers system manage 250+TPs & more than 3000+ CH Powervu channels auto-roll. All auto-roll data will match with satellite name in default satellite list. To ensure Powervu channel smoothly auto-roll, User must select exact satellite name from software default satellite list to install channels.
For example, To open 68.5e Intelsat20 ‘s channels by auto-roll, you need to select “Intelsat20 68.5e” in default satellite list to install channels. if you use wrong default satellite to install channels or add a new satellite name to install those channels,auto-roll will not work properly. see picture below:
4. Wait For transponder(TP) to send EMM data to commence auto-roll
Explaining this further, for example, 68.5e Sony package you need to wait for about 30seconds-3mins for the auto roll. However, some individual channels need to wait a long time for the auto roll, might need about 10-20mins depending on when satellite TP send EMM data. Once it opens the first times, it continues opening immediately you switch on the decoder.

I have a 1.7m dish only. (1) what else do i need apart from the dish for a complete installation? can get 1 Gsky within 24hrs. in Kaduna after making an online transfer? How much will it cost?

@uncledan you don’t need glass piece inside lnb. Just put the lnb as it is.. and the frequency is 5150. Keep 66e on prime focus and 68.5e will be on the top

@Karthik please how did you track sony on lntelsat 68.5e ?.I tried all the tricks but to no avail, i am using 2.4m dish i got 55% on sport hd24 on my Gsky v6 but sony side is giving me headach i track the gospel side that is formal mytv side but still l cannot nail it please any help thanks.
Hi @ UNCLE DAN what you have to do is simple.. CUT your LNB HOLDER (SCALER RING) on top, keep 66e in center on top you can add another LNB for 68.5e. i am getting both with 100% all TPs. Please letme know if any further info needed

Get 52% on sport 24 but can’t track Sony on my 1.8m dish, please what could possibly be the petoblem. Track mytv successfully but have not been able to track Sony….any help will be appreciated.
hi lemmy.. as per your advise, i have re installed the software and now 68.5 sony channels are opening and 66 sony HD packages are gone. Request your expert advise to have 66 degree sony channels back.

Hi lemmy i am having 3 mt dish and getting both 66 and 68.5e . what actually happen is that i was getting Sony package in 66e, and not getting discovery and other sony pack on 68.5 as it was showing scambled. After the upgrade, now i am getting Discovery network and 68.5 Sony pack, but in 66e the sony pack is scrambled… please help

I could’nt get Sony on my 1.8m dish but can get MyTV and the Ku band on that same frequency. pls what could probably be the cause and possible solutions. using gsky v6 decoder. Thanks for your anticipated response.
