In life, when you are struggling to fight for your people, some people think you have been paid or you are sentimental. In this article, i will saying somethings about qsat which even some dealers/ sellers of qsat will not say, partly because they don’t want to say the truth, or because they don’t even know it. Secondly, i will say things that will put the final consumers on a safe platform, when it is time to renew their accounts and protect them against fraud. 
For the past four months, i have been fighting a silent war with qsat dealers / staff but am happy to tell you here that the issues have been resolved by 90% and this is the reason why i shall be saying something different and positive about qsat decoders. If you were not sent a beta / test copy of qsat, there is no way your qsat will be expired by now. I can confidently say it that no qsat has expired till date, because the introduction of qsat into the africa market (especially Nigeria, is not upto one year).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ACCOUNT RENEWAL OF QSAT
Initially i said,that qsat will note sell their account codes, however am happy to tell you that qsat will be renewing accounts of interested consumers after the expiiration of their one year subscription. In other words, only those who know who to contact will be able to renew their accounts directly, others will have to go to their dealers to get it renewed. However, be warned, qsat will not give their account codes to any individual or group of individual to sell. For security reasons, the approach they want to use is through their trusted dealers and you will get your accounts renew auto matically without inputing any codes after you pay an amount that is not more than half of the price of the decoder( I won’t say the price but i know the price, if i say the price here, i will spoil market for my fellow sellers and some dealers). So please make sure you keep contact with your seller or anybody around you who you think can help you to renew you account. The codes shall be embedded into your decoder after payment, and all you shall be asked for is the serial number of your decoder and your subscription fees. However, beware of anyone who claims he has avatarcam code that will work for your qsat, one, even if the codes work initially, it will stop working eventually when qsat.upgrades (remember the case of azsky dongles and A+ accounts)
FURTHER TIPS ON QSAT DECODERS:
- If you get XML error when trying to access “youporn, redtube or youtube on qsat”, do the following things to get it working. Make sure you are not using etisalat sim inside your 3g modem (etisalat is having problems with qsat, but the management promises to solve it soon) also make sure you are not using your direct 2g sim card inside the decoder. Iptv and internet tv on decoders, cannot be accessed using a 2g sim card, please get a 3g modem
- If you buy your qsat new and you are having problems activating it, please do the following tricks goto MENU>>Settings>>XCAM Setup AvatarCamHD and make sure you press the red button(the red button displays your expiry date) before pressing the green button for first time activation, if you press the green button first, you may get “wrong activation code error” but if you press the red button first you won’t get this error.
- For those still finding it difficult to display / hide the two adult channels on their qsat now listen very carefully on your remote press MENU>>Multi Media>>Network>>when you press network, you will see the following internet tv; news youtube N32>>Now press the button with play icon / logo on your remote followed by 1513.
- For those using etisalat, make sure you put the sim and leave it inside the decoder for as long as you can but not les than a 10 minutes and not more than one hour, if it doesn’t show after one hour, manually shutdown the connection under MENU>>Settings>>Ethernet Config>>Config>>Then blue button.
- If you have the means to get a 3g modem, please don’t use a sim card directly with your qsat as a 3g modem / wifi / lan internet are generally more stable on qsat
- Glo mobile network also work directly with qsat as well as via 3g modem. to use a glo modem, please you need to subscribe to a data bundle.
- For Nigeria and Ghana users who are trying to use a 3g modem, simply select 3g network under Link Tye in Ethernet config>> don’t bother to look for your country, instead select Auto and mark auto LINK.

please help me when i tried to bring back to life my qsat13 decoder it upgraded to q16 and it keeps on blinking what should i do.now i cant do anything i cant scan or update any information,
I renewed my Q11G decoder it showed for a while and i was very happy. But when i did upgrade it says “can not connect to server now , try later”. I read through all post and comments, i have tried all but to avail. Now i want to know on factory reset what are the steps to setup the box. especially the aspect of REGION because on deflaut it is Germany, could this affect connection to server?

@azeez, please delete all channels and blindscan your decoder. All other things being equal, all your channels will come up. If it doesn’t, pls call your local satellite installer to help you track your dish

What am noticing is that Channels with Freq:12054,12246,11901 and Symb Rate: 27505,27512, are channels which has it’s invalid changes to a figure 704 X 576 are showing

Am in Ghana using Q 11 G and it has been off for some weeks and I decided to check through the internet for help and God being so good, I arrived at your website and downloaded V6 software for my decoder. The upgrading was successful and it was viewing by using MTN sim but it scrambles too much as compared previously and now it has gone off again. I’ve even buy a Vodafone router and I’ve connect through the LAN INTERNET but Some channels like S3,S5,S6,S7, SELECT and other entertaining channels are still Scrambled. Dear Lemmy,many thanks for the V6.I have upgraded my qsat Q11G like you said and it descrambled the dstv channels within 3 seconds and it has been working perfectly well.I am using a 3G modem with an Etisalat line.The only thing I worry about now is that immediately after booting,the decoder displays Q13G instead of Q11G.This started after the updrade.Is it normal?

Mr lemmy kudos to ur infos they where quit great n helpful.Since Qsat is from china the manufacturer might be on holiday since china doesn’t take xmas break until mid january till 2nd week in February. Good day Lemmy, Please help me, my QSAT Q13G has been off and On since december 2013,first they said it was upgrade i did upgrade, it worked for 5day and went back to status quo, what i suspect is that any time champion league marches are to be played the system will just automatically cut off during d period, but after a day or two it will start showing again. i have called d dealer that sold it for me but he said, the QSat server is full that why some of the decoders are cutting off from the network and he said its a problem with those using code 54 & 56, that the other are working, am able to watch movies via IPTV but all the DSTV channels are not working. what can i do to servage the issue.

@leke if you mean a qsat decoder that q11g is written on it, but it display q16 when you connect it to your tv, then you must use the same software used for q11g

Am new guy on this website and it seem an eye opener to me. My proble is that i recently imported the Q-SAT Q11 decoder from china but i have not been enjoying what it offer.Simply because i have less information on how to make work for me.
1.I have inserted orange card direct but the scrambled channels are still not working.
2.When i press the network icon only weather icon work but red tube,goggle map when i press display a message saying ‘Fail to catch message yet gprs show the network was successful.
3.When i remove that sim card and insert it on to my 3g orange modem it show something like this ‘No dongle device found’.
How can help me mr Lemmy.

@sammy, change your link type from lan internet to the internet type you are using with qsat. in other words change it to 3g, if you are using a modem, or change it to gprs if you are usinga sim

hello lemmy, we bought a q11 qsat.. since 21/12/2013. we have not enjoyed it at all. its showing only a few channels and the rest are scrambled. please can u give me a break down of what i can do. or should i just return it back which would be hard cause they might not accept it where i bought. i am really frustrated with this stuff. thanks.. we have tried all d networks still no respite.

@Godstume your case is very strange. Maybe you should change your sim, after that, wait for God’s time

@eze, once you can use it successfully with your computer, then you can use it with qsat. You need to ensure that your 3g modem is connected on the router before you plug it into qsat, then select lan internet in qsat under ethernet config
Thanks for your reply Mr. Lemmy Morgan. I just need a bit more clarification on this please. In the Ethernet settings on Q11G should I set GPRS to On or Off, since it is using the LAN and not the GPRS from the SIM? Should I also leave the SIM inside or should I remove it entirely? I need to be sure on how to get it working with minimal tinkering so I can easily help out others who may have such connections but cannot use it. Thanks a lot for all your help.
@mr eze you are indeed confusing yourself with this issue, you are not require to perform any connection settings aside from the tips given to you.
secondly, before you use a different connection mode on qsat, you must first of all disable the previous connection(i have said this a lot of times e.g if you want to use a 3g modem, you must remove your sim card from qsat, if you want yo use external dongle, you must remove other forms of connections, if you must use lan internet, you must disconnect other external devices)
I just got a TP-Link wireless adapter, but it seems not to be detected by the box. Tested it with my laptop & it works fine. Though it comes with a driver CD. How do I get it to work with the box? Or are there selected adapter that can work with the box?
@Mike ben, make sure your tp-link router is fully connected to the 3g network before you plug it into your decoder then select lan / wired internet in your decoder

@Vince, pls forget about liberty decoder as your lone device to watch encrypted channels, get a worthy alternative out there and use
@lemmy, there is no slot for smart card on the QSAT. what I have inserted is just the MTN SIM card I’m using.
@idriza, then you have nothing to worry about as long as your qsat continues opening scrambled channels. you may try factorry reset though

@idrisza you are not required to use any smart card with qsat before it performs its wonders so pls remove whichever smart card you must have inserted into it

@Isac, those channels are no longer available on dstv fequency. ABC is on tvsat

Lemay, pls help me. I upgraded my Q13 decoder to version 5.11.20 and everything wiped off. I hv tried to activate it via setting > xcam and green button but it keeps showing me cannot get account, please try later. What do I do pls, what could be the problem?
@why did you upgrade? don’t you know the latest final release of qsat software has not been released??
try pressing the RED button before the green button when you are activating.
Don’t also forget to change your sim card

Hi lenny. i bought a Q13G decoder but cant seem to be able to activate it using the instructions MENU>>Settings>>XCAM Setup AvatarCamHD. XCAM is simply not there. I have searched using Eutelsat9A/Ka-sa 009.0E satelite and got 480 channels but all are scrabled except CCTV. How do i unscramble them? I have tried using both simcard and modem without success. I have tried searching 36 degrees satelite but signal quality was always 0…please let me know how to activate it and which satelite to use. Or what could be the problem. Iam from Kenya.

@Johny, nilesat can be tracked with at least 1.8meter dish… qsat support nilesat.

I am able to watch IPTV but it is unable to descramble any channel.

Hi Lem didi from Kenya i have the Xman G8 lost the XCAM set up on the settings menu after performing a full factory reset. Followed your 1512 tip but all i get is invalid input.
2. When connecting to LAN Internet despite a very stable and fast connection my decoder doesnt pick up the conncetion so will not open channels are there any special settings.
3. The wifi has the same problem as no.2 above do i use the same settings from a Router as used by other devices or is the Wifi that from a modem.

@Jumbe if your decoder supports dongle or cccam account, then you will be able to watch scrambled channels on it
lemmy not more than half the price of a decoder to renew account, that means 8k cos the decoder is 16k.
hope qsat is not going the way of DSTV. that amount is way too much

Hapl xmax.my Ogar.does qsat select mordem. I try hsdpa universal mordem and mtn,it did not connect,i was inform to use quicknet mordem.

Thank you Lemmy for this important info on Q-Sat. I was saying it before that Q-Sat is too good to be abandoned, especially when compared to other IKS dongles/decoders in term of stable service. My first IKS decoder is hawk and I’m still using it for viewing free to air channels on 68.5E, I know what I passed through when I was using it to view encrypted channels on Eutelsat 36E. The Purchase of Q-sat relegated my **tv decoder to the background.
