2. WhatsApp On The Web or Desktop
WhatsApp isn’t limited to just your mobile phone. WhatsApp Web allows you to operate WhatsApp akin to when you use it on your smartphone. Let’s see how to set up your account on I computer: Install WhatsApp on your computer or laptop, and scan the QR code using your smartphone by opening your WhatsApp account on your phone.
- For iPhone: Open the WhatsApp app on your device > go to Settings > WhatsApp Web > the box will appear ready to scan your desktop screen.
- For Android: Open the WhatsApp app > go to three dots in the top right corner > tap WhatsApp Web. Your WhatsApp account- messages and conversations will then appear on your computer screen.
3. Emoticons To Emojis
We all have used emoticons once in our life, WhatsApp auto changes emojis to emoticons without us having to use the colon method. For example, if you type ? it will be auto-converted to the smiling emoji and >_< converts to laughing emoji, etc. Using this method will enhance your message typing speed at a prodigious rate.

In your WhatsApp Web window, open the chat.
Open any window and adjust its size such that you can still view any new message that is sent in the background.
Now, click on this window and keep your cursor over the window.
This, for your computer, means that you working on the window and not on WhatsApp.
Any message you receive on this chat now will be visible to you, but for the sender, only grey ticks will appear until you click on the WhatsApp Web window.
This method allows you to view messages of one chat only.
7. Control Volume and Playback Speed
WhatsApp web doesn’t allow us to make phone calls hence voice messages become more frequent. To control the volume of voice messages and its playback capacity you can install the Zapp extension. It appears on the top right corner of your screen and allows you to increase volume or playback speed easily with arrow keys or mouse wheel.
8. Use Emojis
You can use emojis to express your feeling more candidly and to make the conversation more relaxed and heartfelt. This emoji feature is also available on the WhatsApp web, just follow these easy steps:
In the text area of any chat, type colon, and the first few letters of your desired emoji. For example, type ‘:ha-ha’ for a funny emoji. Emoji prompts will appear on your screen.

Use the left and right arrow keys to switch between the emojis > Press enter to add that emoji in your message.
