One Click root for All 2011 / 2012 Sony Xperia Smartphones(ERoot-1.0.16 or Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry)

In this article, i will do justice to how to root all sony xperia smartphones manufactured in 2011 and 2012 with two of the best rootkit for sony xperia phones.

It is strongly advised that  you use this tutorial only for Sony Xperia phones manufactured in either 2011 or 2012 . Trying using this tutorial  in any other Android device May result in unpleasant outcomes of which am not liable.So before you proceed,  Check your device’s model number in: Settings » About phone. Try this at your own risk. Although, it is very unlikely that your device will be damaged if you follow all the instructions here to the last letter in this tutorial



Before you root your phone take note of this: Once you have rooted your android device, your device  warranty will get void; However, you can reclaim the warranty by applying official firmware update or by unrooting the device.

To check if you have  successfully rooted your device or not simply  install an app called “Root Checker” t available for download on Google PLAY store.


Pre Requisites & Requirements:

  1. Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. [How to Check Battery Percentage in Android Device press settings>>Battery or download any battery optimizing app from google play e.g]
  2. You already have USB Driver Installed for Sony Xperia phone  in your PC. [Once you install sony pc comapion, it means you already have the usb drivers installed]
  3. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled. [ You can do this by pressing settings>.developer options>>USB debugging]
  4. Download ERoot-1.0.16.exe
  5. Download

Once the above is downloaded, you are set to go. You might also try this rookits on 2013 xperia smartphones like xperia z as the tool will not harm your phone in anyway. it is either your phone is rooted or not. So there is no harm in trial. meanwhile let me take you through the list of supported sony devices;

  1. Follow my instructions in the prerequisite above
  2. Do a full backup of your phone just in case(this is necessary if you a rooting a sony tablet)
  3. Download the rootkit from my link above
  4. Extract in in your desktop with winrar
  5. Run it and select normal mode if you are rooting a sony smartphone or Special mode if you are rooting a sony Tablet
  6. Press enter, connect your phone or tablet, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.


  • Perform all the instructions in my prerequisite above
  • Download and run ERoot-1.0.16.exe above
  • Run it, and it will detect your phone
  • At the bottom right vorner, you will see a root button. Click it and wait for the process to complete
  • Confirm that super su is installed on your phone
  • If it fails the firts time, reboot your phone and try again
